This Agate Slice from Brazil is cut and polished from agate, a variety of chalcedony (microcrystalline quartz) known for its distinctive banding patterns. Agate forms in volcanic and metamorphic rocks, with bands created by rhythmic crystallization of silica.
Sliced to reveal the internal banding structure, this specimen displays the natural patterns and colors characteristic of Brazilian agate. Each slice is unique in its banding, colors, and translucency. This specimen can be used for display, educational purposes, or mineral collections.
